Tell us briefly about your background and how you got started in your medium.

I am a self taught artist, I came to the US about 4 years ago from the Island of Philippines. My medium is Acrylics on Canvas. Thanks to my in laws/family and friends that have encourage me to continue painting and see where it leads. 3 years after, here I am still painting.

How does your medium inform your viewpoint? What do you like most about your medium?

Very easy to work, and to be honest. Its not a pricey Medium which helps me to sell my original painting in a very reasonable price. That may be why I love Acrylics so much.

Who or what have been your artistic inspiration?

Well, other than my island home Philippines, an inspiration to all of my sunset/sunrise/warm water ocean paintings, the new view of Pennsylvania opens up so much ideas.

Do you have a favorite piece in your portfolio?

A piece that I cannot let go is almost like a shipwreck in the middle of the sea. I created this piece 1 ½ year(s) ago when my parents house were destroyed by a strong typhoon (hurricane)and as I wait to hear from my parents. I end up creating a strong piece.
