Artist Statement
From my studio at Owl Hollow in Mechanicsburg and studio 214 at Millworks in Harrisburg, I create artwork inspired by my lifelong fascination with the natural world.

Artist Background
Marjorie attended UCSD, majoring in fine art, and has taken many art classes and workshops over the years. She started her art career painting murals and faux finishes at The Decorative Art Studio, which she founded in 1998. She was selected to paint murals for several Harrisburg Symphony Show-houses. After starting a family, She dabbled in glass mosaic and traveled to Venice, Italy, for a workshop at Orsoni Glass. In 2021, after her three daughters went off to college, she started working exclusively in acrylic and oils.

Her list of interests includes but is not limited to the following:
Natural history books and museums, old botanical books, insects of all kinds-(even the icky ones), birds, nature, beekeeping, antiques, castles, British murder mysteries, travel, gardens, living vicariously through her three adventurist daughters, dogs, yoga and long walks in nature with her husband of twenty-five years.
